Chicago area residents (within 25 miles)

Families experiencing financial hardship

First-time recipients prioritized

One turkey per household

Must be able to pick up on November 21st

We're thankful for our community! Registration is required. After you register, you'll receive a text message from QR TaxPro to confirm your spot.

Registration does NOT guarantee a turkey - confirmation text required
You must respond to our confirmation text on November 20th
Please bring a valid photo ID to verify registration
Turkeys are frozen (12-16 lbs) - bring appropriate transportation
No proxies - registered person must pick up their turkey

How It Works

Register Online

Complete the registration form above with your household information. You'll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.

Confirmation Text on November 20th, 2025

All registered families will receive a text asking to confirm attendance:

Reply 1 - Yes, I will pick up my turkey
Reply 2 - I cannot make it (releases your turkey to another family)

Check-In on November 21st, 2025

Arrive between 3:00-7:00 PM with your photo ID and confirmation text. Check in at the registration table first.

Receive Your Turkey

After check-in, proceed to the refrigerated truck to receive your frozen turkey. Volunteers will be available to assist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a client of QR TaxPro or Take 2 Insurance?

No! This community event is open to all Chicago-area families in need. You do not need to be a client of either company.

Is there any cost or obligation?

This is completely free with no strings attached. We will not try to sell you any services. This is our way of giving back to the community.

What if I don't have transportation?

The location is accessible by CTA Red Line (Morse Station). If you're unable to transport a frozen turkey, please consider arranging help from a friend or family member.

Can I register multiple families?

Each household must register separately. Multiple registrations from the same address will not be accepted.

What if I miss the pickup window?

Turkeys can only be picked up during the designated time (3-7 PM on Nov 21). Unclaimed turkeys will be donated to local food banks at 7:15 PM.

Will you share my information?

No. Your information is only used for this event and will not be shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes.

What if the weather is bad?

The event will proceed rain or shine. In case of severe weather, check your text messages for updates.
